We’re excited to announce the launch of a new patient initiative, DRESS Support Meetups.
We understand that living with DRESS Syndrome can be challenging. Patients often face complex symptoms and complicated treatments that can take a toll. This experience can lead to loneliness and isolation, fear of taking medications, distrust of medical providers, and even PTSD.
As part of our mission, we strive to help DRESS patients and loved ones find community and connection. Our goal with DRESS Support Meetups is to create a virtual, informal meeting space where they can deepen their DRESS understanding while feeling supported and heard.
You can expect:
Open Dialogue: Ask questions to find answers you’re seeking. Share and swap stories. Learn from one another. These environments are catalysts for honest conversations, understanding, and healing. All events are also kept confidential, and we ask that all participants respect this space.
DRESS Knowledge: Each meetup will feature a different theme to foster ongoing understanding of DRESS. We’ll also invite DRESS medical experts and researchers to join us on occasion to offer deeper insights into our current understanding of this disease.
Emotional Support: Connecting with others who understand the emotional toll can be an invaluable tool to help patients and loved ones navigate their journey with DRESS.
